Standard Consultation
A standard consultation is 15min. All patients will be allocated a LONG appointment for a first visit. This will allow us to fully explore your medical history and important factors. If you are unsure what sort of appointment you may need, please talk to our friendly team.
Telehealth

Telehealth appointments will be available and often preferred. We must have seen you (in the practice, in person) to be able to arrange a telehealth appointment.
Some types of issues will require physical examination (in person). If you are unsure, talk to our team, or have a telehealth with our Doctor first.
If a child is having a telehealth appointment - the child must be present with the parent (This is a Medicare requirement)

If you have a number of issues, or a mental health issue, Please book a long appointment so we have more time to assess any issues.
If you think you may need a care plan (GP Care Plan, or Mental Health Care Plan), Please arrange a long appointment.
Special Appointments
Childhood Checks and Vaccinations
The National Immunisation Program recommends children get specific vaccinations at the following ages to protect against serious illness:
- 2 months
- 4 months
- 6 months
- 12 months
- 18 months
- 4 years
If you would like to vaccinate your child, our Doctors and Nurses provide a supportive role in making this a pleasant experience.
Women's Health Checks
All our Doctors can help you with Women's Health. If you need a cervical screening test, breast check or any other services - we can help you. For those that prefer a female doctor, we have Dr Renee, Dr Kate and Dr Josie available.
Care Plans
We are also passionate about the comprehensive care of people with chronic health issues. Each year you are entitled to a GP Management Plan. A GP Management Plan is a tool to summarise all your health information and goals. There are 2 visits per year (Bulk Billed) that Medicare encourages to help support you with your chronic disease.
Some people with GP Management Plans are entitled to 5 subsidised allied health visits under an "EPC". This can be used for visits with a podiatrist or physiotherapist (as an example). Medicare defines the rules around who is able to have these plans, and we must adhere to those rules.
If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please book. If you are unsure if you qualify, book an appointment to discuss. If done well, a Care Plan can help you reach a better level of health.
Mental Health Visits
Dr Renee specializes in Mental Health. If you need support, or if things are tough, book an appointment. Our other Doctors are also able to take Mental Health consults.
Drivers Licence Review
A routine for people over 75yo, a Drivers Licence Review is required annually. Also, Licence reviews are required in other conditions for people under 75yo, including Diabetics and people with sleep apnoea or heart disease. When booking - please let the team know your appointment is for a license review.
Workcover
If you have a new work injury - please book an appointment as soon as possible after the injury.
We will need to get the following details from you to be able to manage your case:
- An Employer Contact - usually someone from Human Resources or your direct Manager
- The Insurance Company/Case Manager - Your employer will have this information
- Your Claim Number - The Insurance Case Manager will allocate a Claim Number for your case.
If you have an existing Workcover claim and would like to change to our practice - Please book in a Workcover appointment to discuss the issues.
Skin Checks and Biopsy/Excisions
Dr Renee has extra training in Skin Cancer detection and management and Dr Elton is completing his extended skills training in Skin Cancer management.
Did you know that ALL Australians should have a skin check at least once a year. If you work outdoors, have very fair skin, a previous skin cancer or a family history of skin cancer, this may need to be more frequent.
We offer biopsy and excision for concerning findings after a skin check. Often being treated by your Specialist GP can be more convenient and save you a lot of money.
Implanon Insertion
Our doctors have extra training in contraception. We will be happy to discuss your options, and help you to decide what will work best for you. We are able to insert and remove Implanon (The "rod") and are able to remove Mirena.
